McLean County Farm Bureau member, Rachel Fulton will serve as the 2023 Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leader Vice Chair. Fulton was elected to serve on the executive committee during the statewide annual meeting. She has served one the state young leader committee as a district representative for three years and previously served as McLean County’s Young Leader Chair.

McLean County Farm Bureau awarded $21,200 in FFA Capital Grants for 2022 to help two local FFA chapters upgrade their facilities. McLean County Farm Bureau member, Craig Thompson, traveled with a group of thirteen farm leaders to Washington D.C. to discuss key issues including labor, rising input costs, trade and barriers facing new and beginning farmers. The group met with members of Illinois’ congressional delegation and regulatory agencies on the Illinois Farm Bureau Leaders to Washington trip “There’s no question our members are engaged with these issues daily,” said Adam Nielsen, IFB’s director of national legislation
