Volunteer Night at Midwest Food Bank

McLean County Farm Bureau members are invited to volunteer at Midwest Food Bank Tues., Jan. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. Volunteers will sort and pack food for distribution to area food pantries. Kids ages five and older are welcome to volunteer along with parents or grandparents. Snacks and pizza will be provided. Please sign-up to participate so we can send you the waiver to complete.

Ag After Hours – Survey Says

Join us Jan. 16 at the Evergreen FS Building, 402 N. Hershey Road in Bloomington from  for an Ag After Hours. Our guest speaker will be Illinois State Statistician, Mark Schleusener to discuss USDA Crop Reports & Surveys. Olson Honored at IAA Annual Meeting

John Olson earned statewide recognition for decades of volunteer work helping non-farmers learn about food and farming. Olson was named the 2020 Illinois Ag in the Classroom Volunteer of the Year and recognized at the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting Dec. 7. Buckley Name IL Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year

Katie Buckley, secondary special education teacher and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Educator across the district at LeRoy CUSD #2, was named 2020 Illinois Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year for her outstanding efforts in incorporating agriculture into her classroom.
