Delegates Participate in Policy Discussion

McLean County Farm Bureau board members participated in grassroots policy development and discussed issues as delegates to the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting Dec. 4-7. The Illinois Farm Bureau body of delegates approved changes and updates to policy including energy, crop insurance and conservation programs. McLean County Fair Hires New AITC Coordinator

McLean County AITC Grant

Ag in the Classroom Grant funding from the IAA Foundation will continue to fuel local learning about food and farming. The $8,100 Illinois Ag in the Classroom County Coalition Support Grant be used to purchase supplies and resource materials for local schools. Ag Coloring Books Donated to Children’s Advocacy Center

A donation of 300 ABC’s of Agriculture coloring books and soy crayons will be put to use in the waiting rooms at the McLean County Children’s Advocacy Center located in downtown Bloomington. The center provides services and support for children during investigations of physical or sexual abuse allegations or when a child is a witness to a major crime and/or a victim of human trafficking.
