Taking Safety on the Road

Seeing farm equipment up close allowed students at Tri-Valley and Heyworth High Schools to El Paso-Gridley to gain a better perspective on how to share the road safely on Sept. 9 and 15 respectively. Groundbreaking Day for New Ag Complex

Work has officially started on the new Ag Complex at Heartland Community College made possible in part by a $2 million pledge from McLean County Farm Bureau. A $2 million gift from McLean County Farm Bureau will help Heartland Community College construct dedicated space for ag classes at the campus in Normal, Ill. 2022 MCFB Foundation Scholarship Winners

McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased to announce the 2022-23 Agricultural Leadership Scholarship recipients. Brian Clapp, a senior at LeRoy High School, plans to study Agricultural Business at Lake Land College. Preston Rhode, a senior at Normal Community West High School, will pursue a degree in Animal Science at Black Hawk College. Ashlyn Mool of Lexington, will be a junior at Iowa State University studying Agricultural Business. Mool is an El Paso-GridleyHigh School graduate.

Local Students Awarded IAA Foundation Scholarships

Three McLean County students will receive scholarships to pursue their education and career goals from the Illinois Agricultural Association Foundation. Paige Lemenager of Hudson will receive a $5,000 scholarship as an IAA Foundation Top Scholar. Lemenager is a senior at Normal West Community High School and plans to study agriculture at Lake Land College. Abigail Hoeft of Bloomington will receive the $1,000 Dale E. Butz Scholarship to study Forest Service Management at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
