FSA raises livestock disaster payment rate to cover heat, humidity losses

Livestock producers who lost cattle this summer due to extreme heat and humidity will see an increase in payment rates under the Livestock Indemnity Program. USDA’s Farm Service Agency said the changes also aim to reflect a trend of higher cattle weights in feedlots.
