Two county Farm Bureau presidents and the vice chair of the Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leader Committee reflect on the opportunity to share their personal stories with federal legislators during a recent trip to Capitol Hill.

The “lightning blitz” of meetings with a handful of Illinois’ congressional delegates allowed members to discuss what’s important to them for the farm bill, such as crop insurance, and other agricultural issues, including H-2A worker pay.
