McLean County Farm Bureau leaders are pleased to recognize the McLean County Board an “Ally in Agriculture” after the board’s adoption of a resolution in support of agriculture, signifying local elected officials support for farmers.

McLean County passed the resolution in March 2023 in recognition of significance of agriculture to the local economy.

Agriculture contributes an estimated total economic impact of $1.5 billion annually, support for 5,593 jobs and farmland represents 10.5 percent of the local property tax base. The resolution also recognizes McLean County for producing the largest volume of corn and soybeans of any county in the nation as well as a diverse range of other grain, specialty crops and livestock.
