Farm GAP certification sways school buys of local food

The Center for Food Safety in Child Nutrition Program conducted a survey to better understand food safety concerns linked to fresh produce and farm-to-school activities. The survey found that farmers’ knowledge of food safety requirements and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification would sway a school’s decision to buy from local farms.
