FFRI expanding free mental health resources for farmers

From a free helpline and telehealth counseling sessions to a virtual support group, the Farm Family Resource Initiative (FFRI) continues to reach farmers wherever they are. Looking to the year ahead, Program Coordinator Karen Stallman is excited to expand FFRI’s resources by organizing community forums for aging farmers and holding a rural mental health summit in March. “I know it’s very difficult to admit if you’re struggling or you need help, because there’s such a stigma with that.
