IFB contributions to nutrient loss reduction spotlighted at task force meeting

The efforts made by Illinois farmers and other ag stakeholders to significantly reduce nutrient loss across the state’s watersheds were spotlighted at a recent meeting of the Mississippi River/Gulf of Mexico Hypoxia Task Force. Illinois Farm Bureau’s Lauren Lurkins showcased nearly $3 million in investments from IFB to address statewide water quality and meet goals of the Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy.
