RIVER TOWNS GEARING UP FOR FLOOD SEASON AS PANDEMIC LOOMS

Still reeling from last year’s historic floods, river cities in the Great Plains and central U.S. are preparing for another active flood season in the middle of the unfolding new coronavirus pandemic. While this year’s flooding isn’t expected to be as dire as last year’s, cities are in uncharted territory as they make plans to deal with flooding along with a pandemic that has created a national state of emergency.
