TRADE AGREEMENT NEAR

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Tokyo and Washington are near an agreement on a major Pacific free-trade pact.  The Wall Street Journal reports that autos and agriculture remain as potential obstacles to a deal.

IMF REVISES FORECASTS

Stagnation in Europe and a weaker-than-forecast recovery in Japan has led the International Monetary Fund to again cut its global growth outlook. The IMF sees a 30% chance the euro area will re-enter recession.
