DESCRIPTION:Illinois Milk Producers Association (IMPA) and University of Illinois Extension are excited to highlight sustainability and technology during the upcoming Illinois Dairy Summit. \nThe 2026 Illinois Dairy Summit will be held Feb. 4 at Highland Community College in Freeport. This year’s theme is Foraging Profitability with speakers focusing on providing insight on disease management of field crops. Attendees will also hear an update from the Illinois Department of Public Health on regulatory issues. \nThis year’s speakers include Phil Cardoso and Derek Nolan\, with University of Illinois\, and Damon Smith with the University of Wisconsin. \nThere is no fee to attend the summit\, but registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Extension is hosting a Certified Livestock Manager Training on February 6 at 9:00am located in at the Illinois Soybean Association\, Bloomington\, IL. The workshop sign-in  starts at 8:30. The training begins promptly at 9:00am and last 3.5 hours + additional time if taking the written test. Registration is $70. \nA certified livestock manager is needed on farms with 300+ animal units\, the certification is good for 3 years.
