DESCRIPTION:The Illinois Department of Agriculture announced today the following Illinois wheat producers have met the qualifications required to be placed on the ballot for the upcoming October 30\, 2025\, Illinois Wheat Development Board election. In person voting will take place at McLean County Farm Bureau from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. \n“Illinois wheat producers play an important role in both our state’s agricultural strength and the nation’s food supply\,” said Jerry Costello II\, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. “By working together and sharing their perspectives\, growers can help ensure continued innovation\, market growth\, and long-term success for the industry.” \nAt-Large Candidates (3): Brandon Warren\, Wayne County; John Howell\, Randoph County; No Candidate \nDistrict I: No Candidate \nDistrict II: Dean Campbell Madison County \nDistrict III: Ross Holscher Crawford County \nDistrict IV: Steve Launis Washington County \nDistrict V: No Candidate \nDistrict VI: Jamie Harvel Clay County \nQualified producers interested in serving as an At-Large or District Board member may participate in the October 30\, 2025\, election as a write in candidate.
