McLean County students entering Illinois State University to pursue a degree in agriculture will have the opportunity to apply for a larger scholarship annually, thanks to a donation from McLean County Farm Bureau.

A recent $25,500 contribution will increase the endowed scholarship fund at ISU, first established by McLean County Farm Bureau in 1984.

With the increase, a scholarship of approximately $1,600 will be available each year. The scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman annually.

“McLean County Farm Bureau values the opportunity to support local students pursuing agricultural careers here in our own community,” said McLean County Farm Bureau President Mark Hines.
