PLAN EARLY FOR SUCCESSFUL FALL CROP NUTRIENT STRATEGY –

With higher corn prices and a forecast of more acres, the GROWMARK Crop Nutrient Division expects strong demand for nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers this fall. Farmers will likely experience the lowest fertilizer prices for the 2020 crop year when fall prepay numbers are available. Phosphate carryover and strong production economics have bolstered phosphate supply, pushing the price lower by an estimated 20 percent from a year ago. Farmers can expect potash prices to remain steady compared to last year. The price of anhydrous ammonia is expected to be higher than last fall, but lower than spring 2019 pricing. (FarmWeekNow)
