DEMS MAKE THEIR PITCH TO FARM COUNTRY

– Democratic presidential candidates hoping to win the support of Iowa’s farmers zeroed in on the need to stem consolidation of corporate power during campaign stops last week. Both Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar said, if elected, they would focus their attentions on updating antitrust laws, referencing Bayer AG’s purchase of St. Louis-based Monsanto. Warren went so far as to say she would “unwind the Bayer-Monsanto” deal. (Wall Street Journal)
