Soggy fields last fall meant many farmers were unable to finish fall fieldwork, including anhydrous ammonia application, before winter leading to fieldwork delays this spring. Still, said DeAnne Bloomberg with IFB, farmers will be ready. “One thing that I like to say about farmers is they are always adapting to weather variability because with the winter that they have experienced, they have been mentally preparing themselves for this,” Bloomberg said.
