MillerCoors Thursday filed suit against Anheuser-Busch, alleging the St. Louis-based brewer’s ads are false and misleading. MillerCoors’ central complaint – there is no corn syrup in the beer consumers drink – stems from a Bud Light super bowl commercial which accuses MillerCoors of using corn syrup in its brewing process and beers. MillerCoors also alleges Anheuser-Busch is deliberately playing on consumers’ ignorance that ordinary corn syrup is different from high-fructose corn syrup. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)
