FROM BAD TO WORSE? – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center estimates about two-thirds of the lower 48 states face an elevated risk of flooding through May, with potential for major or moderate flooding in 25 states, including Illinois. Already dealing with its sixth wettest winter on record, Illinois is expected to get more rain through the weekend, further soaking deluged fields and saturated soils. (
