PRITZKER SEEKING $1.1 BILLION IN NEW REVENUE –

PRITZKER SEEKING $1.1 BILLION IN NEW REVENUE – Gov. J.B. Pritzker used his first budget speech Wednesday to ask for $1.1 billion in new revenue – including from recreational marijuana and sports wagering – to start the state on a path toward financial stability. He made clear he believes the ultimate way to that stability is to bring a graduated income tax to Illinois, an issue that was the centerpiece of his campaign for governor.
