IDOA MONITORING STATUS OF ALTERNATIVE GRAIN STORAGE – The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is monitoring the situation of grain in alternative storage, especially emergency storage, according to Joe Small, chief of the IDOA warehouse bureau. Emergency storage, which involves piling grain on the ground, placing it in a storage bag or some other method without rigid sidewalls, is permitted for three months under an IDOA permit.
