U.S. PUSHES CHINA ON TRADE PROMISES

Trade officials from Washington and Beijing are looking to line out details on a number of promises made my Chinese officials: more Chinese purchases of U.S. goods and services; increased U.S. access to China’s markets; better protection of U.S. intellectual property and reductions in subsidies to Chinese companies. Trade talks between the countries restarted Monday in Beijing with a goal of landing on an agreement by the March deadline.
