LACK OF CROP NUMBERS LEAVES MARKETS ‘SPINNING THEIR WHEELS’

Many farmers and traders probably wonder what if the USDA had released its final crop production estimates for 2018 as scheduled on Jan. 11. “It would be nice to get those January reports, I think there could be some helpful information in those,” Todd Hubbs, University of Illinois ag economist, told FarmWeek. “I think both corn and beans might see yields come down” due in part to late fall weather issues and delayed harvest.
