USDA TIGHTEN SNAP WORK REQUIREMENTS

The USDA Thursday said it plans to restrict the ability of states to exempt work-eligible adults from having to obtain steady jobs to receive food stamps. The proposal, which would follow the regulatory rulemaking process, raises the age of work requirements and forces parents with children older than 6 to work or participate in job training.
