SHUTDOWN DRAGS ON – Senate leaders are set to meet today in an effort to end the six-day federal government shutdown. Nine federal agencies have been shuttered since the government shut down Saturday, placing thousands of government workers across the country on furloughs. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump Wednesday said he’s prepared to keep the government shut down as long as is needed to get $5 billion from taxpayers to fund his U.S.-Mexico border wall.
