NEW TRADE PACTS COULD STIFLE U.S. AG –

NEW TRADE PACTS COULD STIFLE U.S. AG – Japan will begin cutting tariffs and easing quotas on products sold by some of American ag’s biggest competitors, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Chile, worrying U.S. farmers already stuck in the middle of the U.S.-China trade dispute. Part of the new Trans-Pacific Partnership, the move will accelerate Japan’s market-opening agenda and take market share away from U.S. farmers. (Wall Street Journal)
