NEW LAWS SET STAGE FOR ILLINOIS HEMP

Industrial hemp is set to make a comeback in Illinois thanks to a new state law and the federally-approved farm bill. Not widely grown since the 1930s, Illinois farmers now only are waiting on the Illinois Department of Agriculture to determine and announce rules for hemp production, including how many acres can be planted and where seeds should come from.
