USMCA LEAVES U.S. BUSINESSES OUT IN THE COLD

The new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement ends key legal protections for many U.S. businesses operating in Mexico, leaving their operation exposed to risk they had avoided. Under NAFTA, U.S. firms operating in Mexico and Canada had the option to challenge government decisions at an international tribunal; under the new agreement, firms would be forced to navigate the Mexican court system.
