RURAL AMERICANS WORRIED, BUT STILL OPTIMISTIC – Despite concerns surrounding drug addiction, job availability and the economy, rural Americans still are optimistic about the future. According to a recent poll from NPR, eight in 10 rural Americans said they feel their lives are turning out either as they expected or better, and 54 percent say they are better off financially when compared with their parents at the same age.
