COMMODITY OF CONCERN – Despite the House and Senate passing versions of a new farm bill this summer, conference negotiations remain deadlocked, allowing many of the programs in the 2014 version of the bill to expire Sept. 30. One of the issues causing the stalemate is commodity assistance, as the House version seems to favor cotton. The farmdoc daily team analyzed the situation. (
