Saturated Buffer Field Day – June 15

Check out a live installation of a saturated buffer along Turkey Creek and find out more about soil health, water quality and wildlife habitat at a Saturated Buffer Field Day June 15 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Illinois State University Farm.

Over lunch, Dr. Jim Angel, Illinois State Climatologist, will lead a discussion on changing weather patterns and increased water flow that make these types of tile treatment practices even more important as part of sustainable agriculture production.

There are also limited spaces available in the classroom training session, which will be held the previous day, June 14, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the ISU.
