As the 25th anniversary of the record-breaking 1993 flood approaches, farmers along the Mississippi River are remembering both the bad and the good. An excellent crop ended with more than 44,000 acres of farm ground under water in Pike County alone – more than any other levee district. Still, said farmer Kevin Keithly, people pulled together to make the bad better. “The people in the background kept us where we could keep going,” Keithly said. (Quincy Herald Whig)
