ELECTION JUDGE SHORTAGE – With election day just six months away, the Illinois State Board of Elections is looking for ways to fill a shortage of election judges. “The people who have done this for years and years are getting older,” said Illinois State Board of Elections Spokesman Matt Dietrich. “Younger people are not necessarily stepping up to fill the void.” State law requires each precinct to have five election judges.
