CHINA TRADE – China blamed U.S. export restrictions and the refusal to sell China high-tech products for its record $375 billion trade surplus as the U.S. readied to put tariffs on Chinese steel imports on Thursday. A Chinese government spokesperson asked, “how many soybeans should China buy that are equal to one Boeing aircraft?” In an editorial, China’s state-run newspaper acalled assertions the country can’t find substitutes for U.S. soy as “arrogant and naïve.” (Reuters)
