AFBF President Zippy Duvall said that while the estate tax was meant for the truly rich, it’s America’s family farmers who are negatively impacted,  in an op ed published Thursday in USA Today. Duvall said the tax forces farmers jump through legal hoops just to avoid selling the farm piece by piece to pay the tax man. “The estate tax means passing the family business on from one generation to the next remains a challenge for too many famers,” Duvall said.
