As NAFTA talks continue this week, concerns over the pact’s demise continue to rise. While speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, President Donald Trump yesterday said it was “possible” the U.S. would drop out of the deal, which could send shock waves throughout the global economy. If a deal between the U.S., Canada and Mexico cannot be reached, Trump said he would be open to bilateral trade deals with either country. Still, farm groups and business organizations are urging Trump relax his demands and rework the accord, rather than kill it.
