U.S., Canadian and Mexican officials Friday began working through some of the toughest issues in modernizing NAFTA, including rules of origin for goods, services trade and a controversial dispute settlement system. The first round of talks is set to run through Sunday and, while not expected to outline any areas of agreement, will set up a timeline for the remainder of the talks. The next round of discussions will be held in Mexico in September. (Reuters)
