Millennials and Gen Xers overtook Boomers and older generations as the top voters in the 2016 election, according to a new study by the Pew Research Center. Millennials and Gen Xers cast 69.6 million votes in last year’s general election, a slight majority of the 137.5 million total votes cast. Boomers and older voters represented fewer than half of all voters for the first time in decades.
