A federal jury Friday ordered Syngenta to pay $217.7 million to more than 7,000 Kansas farmers over its decision to commercialize their GMO corn before China approved it. The farmers who filed the suit said Syngenta caused catastrophic damage to corn prices after Chinese officials began rejecting U.S. corn shipments in 2013. (Reuters)
