Fallout continues as the state’s budget crisis marches into its third year. Springfield School District Superintendent Jennifer Gill Monday said if the state doesn’t approve an education budget by July 1, the school district would run out of money by January. Similarly, construction firms across the state have begun to cut jobs and stall projects in preparation of the Illinois General Assembly not meeting its July 1 deadline.
