President Donald Trump is considering legislation that would transform the way the EPA combats pollution, identifies harmful pesticides and classifies everyday toxins. The legislation would open EPA expert advisory panels to industry representatives and mandate the use of the “best available science” – science opponents say would exclude widely used research methods – in formulating policy.
