Despite the Trump administration’s recent, more moderate approach to NAFTA, Mexico is ready to play its trump card: corn. The country, the America’s largest foreign market for corn, is instead shopping Argentina and Brazil for corn, and is even looking to increase its domestic production. “If we lose Mexico as a customers, it will be absolutely devastating to the ag economy,” said Philip Gordon, who grows corn, soybeans and wheat in Saline, Mich.
