Illinois climate experts say the state saw a rainier than usual March, with statewide precipitation more than a half-inch above normal. State Climatologist Jim Angel said that statewide precipitation during March was 3.62 inches, with the highest amounts of precipitation in a band from Quincy east to Chicago.
