Americans’ support for free trade agreements, which fell sharply during the 2016 presidential campaign, has rebounded,  according to the Pew Research Center. About 52% of Americans say free trade agreements are a good thing for the U.S.; 40% view FTAs as a bad thing. During the presidential campaign’s final weeks, just 45% of Americans had positive opinions of FTAs.
