Republicans’ next ACA replacement may let states make the decision about whether to keep key provisions like maternity care, mental health and substance abuse coverage in the federal health law in order to cuts costs. However, a new study says eliminating those benefits won’t do much to bring down premiums. Study author Rebekah Bayram says hospital care, doctor visits and prescription drugs are the costliest. “Unless they were talking about ditching those, the other ones will only have a marginal impact.” (NPR)
