Agronomy Field Day – July 12


Take a look at tools and data to inform your farm management decisions at McLean County Farm Bureau Agronomy Day to be held Tues., July 12.

The event will be at the Illinois State University Farm, 25578 ISU Farm Lane, Lexington from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Registration is $15 per person and includes breakfast snacks, lunch and all materials.

The morning agenda includes valuable information for your farming operation:

  • Nutrient Management Strategies & Cover Crops – Dr. Shalamar Armstrong, Purdue University
  • Weather Outlook – Michael Clark, BAM WX
  • Farm Applications for Drones – Chad Colby, Colby Ag Tech

After lunch, participants will have the opportunity to see drone demonstrations and tour the Illinois State University compost project, weather permitting.

Free, confidential water testing will also be available in the morning to measure nutrient levels in water samples from your tile drainage outlets or farm streams.
