MCFB Leadership Scholarship application available

The McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation’s 2010-2011 Leadership scholarship applications are now available online and at the McLean County Farm Bureau Office. Five scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded: two Seniors in high school, one to an ISU student and two to students attending other colleges. The scholarships, which will be awarded in Spring of 2010, are based on leadership qualities rather than academics. Applicants should be a McLean County high school graduate or lived in McLean County while attending high school and pursuing agriculture-related studies.
Significance will be placed on involvement in 4-H, ag classes, FFA, employment history in the field of agriculture, and other ag opportunities pursued by the student.
The two scholarships awarded to high schoolers may be used at any accredited 2 or 4-year school or technical school.
This is the second year for the award. It is hoped that the scholarship will encourage students to take their agricultural interests to the next level.
