What’s the favorite device for today’s teens.  A survey of 16-19 year olds by Refuel finds: 1) Smartphone, 55%; 2) laptop, 18%; followed by tablet, music player and finally, TV at just 7%.

TECH UPDATE

Google launched a wireless phone service Wednesday that will charge $20 a month for talk, texts and $10 per gigabyte of data used each month. The service initially will work only on Google’s latest Nexus 6 phones.

Apple CEO Tim Cook gave an update on the one-year old Apple product called CarPlay. CarPlay is software automakers install in the infotainment system. It allows a connected iPhone to take over the dashboard display, allowing users to interact with audio-streaming services, messages, maps and other iPhone functions.
