CALIFORNIA WATER

Days after taking the unprecedented step of ordering mandatory water-use reductions throughout his state, California Gov. Jerry Brown defended his executive order’s treatment of the state’s agriculture industry and its use of water in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.”

DRONE SURVEY

A new Reuters survey finds 42% of respondents oppose private ownership of drones or UAVs, suggesting they prefer restricting them to officials or experts trained in safe operation. Another 30 percent said private UAV ownership was fine, and 28 percent were not sure.
